So our week long Senior Softball Midwest Championships Tournament started today - ow ow! That'd be folks aged 50-80 playing softball for a week. I know, I know, it's crazy. Anywho, things are kicking off today so now through Friday I'm not sure how much time I'll have in office to get to replies. That being said, I'll do them at night (barring anything popping up) just as soon as I can! So if I take a day or two longer than normal to reply? Blame the old dudes.
Heh. :) Replies I owe right now should be done tonight, btw.

So the geek squad guy is coming back this Tuesday and he's promised to fix our internet up so matter what it takes. Yay! I'm holding him to that, so I should be back online no later than Tuesday night. Until then, I'll have access again on Monday via my office, since I don't work on the weekends. Now, should I get crazy with withdrawal, I'll go up the street to get coffee and steal their free internet. Muwahahahaha!
I must admit, being internet free is doing wonders for my readings habits. I devoured "The House of Sand and Fog" yesterday. It was so good! I think I'm going to have to rent the movie to check it out now. Today I started "Boomsday" by the guy who wrote "Thank You For Smoking." It's a political satire about a movement to allow the Baby Boomers to voluntarily commit suicide at 75 to prevent a drain on the social security system. So far, it's good.
Oh and the other day I finished reading "The Myth of Me and You" (or You and Me? not sure) but I swear to gosh, one of the characters in that book was almost exactly like me. Eerie!

Kelly - Do we want to thread Charlie/Jaida or just say they hung out? If we want to thread them, it'd be some good drama to do it after she meets with Henry.

Update on the issues: Best Buy is coming out Tuesday to try and fix our net. In the meantime, I'm helping a friend house/dog sit this week so I have access in the downtime here in the house. So lovely ladies and gents, lightening struck something in our neighborhood the other night and we're pretty sure it blew our wireless. Fun, I know. This means I only have net at work at the moment until we can get the cable company to come out and fix things. Because of flooding all over the area and my family's hectic work schedules, we're not sure how soon this can be. We're shooting for today or Friday, so let's hope the guys over at the cable place aren't too swamped! *fingers crossed*
I'm still going to be replying, but from work, so if I'm slow that's why.
I still love you all! *huggles*
Oh and PS - I bought a new iPod yesterday. YAY!

So I got a promotion on Thursday (yay me!) but I also inherited an assload of trouble, which is eating my life already this week. It's making my brain turn to mush - did I mention I'm sick too? - and therefore making most replies hard. Some babies are fighting through the mush of my brain, but not all of them can make it so PLEASE bear with me while I get settled into things. I promise it won't last forever!

I apologize for my suckiness with replies lately. For those of you who don't know, I started a new job that keeps me in office Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8a-5p. Usually by the time I get home my brain is fried or I'm busy trying to find a second part-time job or getting things together for vacation. Plus I have a lovely handful of miscellaneous stresses to fret over. Health insurance? Who needs it! Ha.
Also, my biological grandfather passed away unexpectedly Friday night. Old coot had cancer in TWO places and didn't even know it. He was a tough old guy, so it's strange to think he's not off puttering around somewhere. It all happened very fast according to my Aunt. Now I'm working to rearrange my work schedule so that I can attend the funeral on Wednesday. Tomorrow (Sunday) is my laundry and reply day - try not to be too jealous - so I plan on getting to everyone I owe and the starts I need to as well. If you post in any way to any of my kids, please let me know via a comment here or e-mail or IM or something. With everything going on, I'm suck at checking everything. :-/
I made a little list here of the things I MUST DO tomorrow. If I owe you and you aren't on here please please please tell me! Ugh, ok, I think that's it. Hopefully I'll settle into work soon and get back into my usual rhythm. Just bear with me! :)

I have a job interview Thursday as does my sister and since it's going to be bad out, I'll probably be driving her. I am officially terrified of Javier Bardem.
And his horrible, horrible hair in "No Country for Old Men." Seriously. Freaked out.
The movie has no soundtrack, either. This made it eight million times more intense. GUH.
Next up is "There Will Be Blood" at the arthouse. I stole me a Daniel Day Lewis poster today. Hehe. Crazy bastard, I love him.
My goal is to see all the Oscar nominated films before the Oscars...well, the major ones at least.

I swear to god tv hates me. They do. They want to kill every ounce of hopeful, silly romance in my body.
Let's review the status of some of my ships, shall we?
La Femme Nikita: Michael and Nikita? - Separated.
General Hospital:: Jason and Sam? - Hate each other.
Moonlight:Mick and Beth? - One step forward, 98 million steps back.
Prison Break: Linc and Veronica - Bullet to the brain ends a ship quickly*
(ok, I was kinda glad. Can I ship Linc with me? No? FINE.)
LOST: Charlie and Claire - Charlie go BOOM. :(
BBC's Robin Hood:Robin and Marian? - Uh....they FRIGGIN KILLED HER. *so pissed!*
Ok, so for some reason I have had this insane obsession with all things Robin Hood since I was like two. And yes that means Disney and Men in Tights and pretty much any and all incarnations. So yes, I love the BBC series. It's genuinely good, cheeky fun...with plenty of pretty cast members. But now I am so depressed! And angry! And aware that I get far too invested in my show. lol.
*hinthint* Someone should make my darling Kate a Jonas Armstrong muse to play with. I would be forever in their debt! And it would make me feel oh so much better! Plus, he's cute! Yay Jonas!
Ok. Fine. I shall go grumble elsewhere now.
